Every time, going on a diet or buying a subscription to the gym, women all over the world give themselves the installation at least for a while to give up sweets and starchy foods. In order to bring our weight to ideal levels, we are ready to eat vegetables and fruits all day long, but we ourselves do not understand what a stupid mistake we are making. After all, the number of calories contained in foods is not the only factor affecting weight and figure in general. Keep in mind that even foods that we used to consider dietary can contain large amounts of sugar, starch or fat. Do you need it? Choose wisely.

Here are five foods you should avoid if you really want to lose weight.

Grape grape

Grapes have a relatively low calorie content, but the catch here lies elsewhere. A small handful of berries contains as much as 15 grams of sugar, which is equivalent to the sugar content of several sweet cookies. According to psychologists, grapes cannot be eaten “just a little”, and you are unlikely to stop until you have eaten a whole bunch. And this is already as much as 75 grams of sugar! In order to resist the temptation, replace the grapes with other, less sweet berries – there will be just as much pleasure, but much more benefit.

Nuts

A handful of almonds or peanuts contains about 20 grams of fat and about 300 calories. So, while feasting on these nuts at the bar or opening a bag of cashews at work, think about it – do you need this fat? The benefits of nuts, of course, are rather big (vitamin E, magnesium, omega-3 fatty acids), but for this it is enough to add them in small quantities to salads, and not to consume them in the evening in front of the TV. Believe me, it will not be difficult for you to give up this habit, the main thing is to start.

Dried fruits

Decided to have a bite to eat fragrant dried apricots at work? It is better to immediately abandon this idea. One handful of this “harmless” snack contains about 50 grams of sugar, which cannot but affect your figure. If you want a really healthy snack, replace dried fruit with real fruit. Of course, excluding the sweetest, such as grapes, bananas and mangoes.

Hummus

If you love hummus, then you know perfectly well how difficult it is to stop after opening another jar. With all this, the calorie content of the product is not at all low: just imagine that two teaspoons of it contain 70 calories. And unless someone is limited to these two spoons? Sure, no. Many nutritionists advise to completely eliminate this product from consumption, but if you are sure that you can limit yourself to only a small portion, you can take a chance. Most importantly, keep in mind that each additional spoonful of this product will be deposited in the form of unattractive folds around the waist. We warned!

Raw vegetables
